We have had a productive week at home, with just a couple of flat runners to keep us on our toes. We were delighted with the first time out two year old Aone Ally; a strong type he has been brought along steadily and was understandably green on this debut. He led three from home before showing his greeness but is definitley one for the future.
The rain over the past few days has eased the grass gallops again and we had a good work morning today with Ryalex, Kelpies Myth, Eeyore, Without Conviction and the yet to be named four year old by Sholokov. We are looking forward to them all making their seasonal debuts soon. On Tuesday we worked One For Arthur, Big River, Bollingerandkrug and Faire Part Sivola; four lovely talented horses who have some nice targets this autumn. This is definitely the time of year for dreaming.
We are off to Hexham tomorrow with three runners all of whom will love any more ease in the going.
Buddha Scheme won here last year and while he then lost form he has been fresh at home recently. He needs every inch of three miles.
Rivabodiva is another who would prefer four miles to three, but sadly there are no such hurdle races. She won here two years ago and while this is a hotter race she had a nice pipe opener at Perth a month ago.
Readysteadybeau is a horse who I like a lot; a chasing type he makes his racecourse debut and will learn plenty.
